Surface America (Tatonka) Poured Rubber Surfaces
PlayBound Poured in Place - Surface America PlayBound Poured in Place is their flagship two-layer rubber and urethane system. The first layer is a shock absorbing layer comprised of recycled tire. The second layer is a finished wear layer in your choice of color. The most common application for poured in place is a playground or play area, but it is suited for any indoor or outdoor application where fall protection or cushioning is desired.
All poured in place is not equal. Three factors in particular influence the quality and useful life of poured in place systems: installer skill, quality components, and the amount of components used in the system. Our in-house installers have installed more than 3.4 million square feet of poured in place, including hundreds of thousands of square feet of custom graphic installations. We also use only the highest quality domestic and international rubber suppliers. And we use more binder (and rubber) by weight in our top or wear layer than any other provider. All this translates into the highest quality, longest lasting poured in place system that money can buy, and we back these systems with industry-leading warranties up to ten years. Be wary of cheaper competitor systems that use less binder, have thinner wear layers, offer shorter warranties, or lack IPEMA certification. These shortcomings may result in systems that disintegrate prematurely.
